Acerca CPR LATAM<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Investigaci\u00f3n de Pol\u00edticas de Comunicaci\u00f3n en Latinoam\u00e9rica (CPR LATAM por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s)<\/strong> inici\u00f3 como una red acad\u00e9mica multi-disciplinaria de centros de investigaci\u00f3n que busca avanzar el conocimiento sobre el impacto social, econ\u00f3mico y pol\u00edtico de las tecnolog\u00edas de informaci\u00f3n y comunicaci\u00f3n (TIC) en las Am\u00e9ricas. Hoy en d\u00eda es un foro internacional que fomenta la investigaci\u00f3n y el di\u00e1logo entre los investigadores y los creadores de pol\u00edticas encargados de examinar la problem\u00e1tica de la tecnol\u00f3gica y de las pol\u00edticas que afectan a las TIC, y su impacto en el desarrollo.<\/p>

La Conferencia anual CPR LATAM promueve el intercambio de las mejores pr\u00e1cticas e ideas sobre las pol\u00edticas de TIC en Am\u00e9rica Latina. M\u00e1s de 150 expertos se re\u00fanen cada a\u00f1o para examinar casos espec\u00edficos de asociaciones p\u00fablico-privadas para la inclusi\u00f3n digital e informar a los actores clave sobre la importancia de invertir en la modernizaci\u00f3n de las redes TIC para el desarrollo sostenible de la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>

La Conferencia CPR LATAM se organiza cada a\u00f1o. En a\u00f1os anteriores, la conferencia se ha llevado a cabo en ciudades como Buenos Aires, Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, Brasilia, Lima, Valpara\u00edso, Bogot\u00e1, Canc\u00fan, Cartagena, Varadero y C\u00f3rdoba.<\/p>

Prof. Christopher Yoo<\/strong><\/p>

John H. Chestnut Professor of Law, Communication, and Computer & Information Science; Founding Director, Center for Technology, Innovation and Competition, University of Pennsylvania Law School.<\/strong><\/p>

Christopher Yoo has emerged as one of the nation\u2019s leading authorities on law and technology. His research focuses on how economic theories of imperfect competition are transforming the regulation of the Internet and other forms of electronic communications. He has been a leading voice in the \u201cnetwork neutrality\u201d debate that has dominated Internet policy over the past several years. He is also pursuing research on copyright theory as well as the history of presidential power. He is the author (with Daniel F. Spulber) of Networks in Telecommunications: Economics and Law (Cambridge, 2009) and (with Steven G. Calabresi) of The Unitary Executive: Presidential Power from Washington to Bush (Yale, 2008). Prof. Alexandre Freire<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>

President of the Superior Council of the Center for Advanced Studies in Digital Communication and Technological Innovation – CEADI\/ANATEL, President of the Telecommunications Infrastructure Committee of ANATEL (C-INT). Member of the National Commission for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN Agenda 2030.<\/strong><\/p>

Alexandre Freire is a Visiting Scholar at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main’s Faculty of Law, holds a PhD in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of S\u00e3o Paulo (PUC-SP), a Master’s degree in Law from the Federal University of Paran\u00e1 (UFPR), and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Federal University of Maranh\u00e3o (UFMA).
He has served as a legal advisor to a Justice of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), special advisor to the presidency of the STF, Secretary of Advanced Studies, Research and Information Management of the STF, parliamentary advisor to the presidency of the Joint Committee on Plans, Public Budgets and Supervision of the National Congress, coordinator of Social Policies of the sub-chief for legal affairs of the Presidential Civil House, deputy sub-chief of the sub-chief for legal affairs of the Presidential Civil House (in substitution), and advisor to the sub-chief for legal affairs of the Presidential Civil House. At the National Council of Justice (CNJ), he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Conciliation Commission and the National Network for Judicial Cooperation.
