Communications Policy Research Latin America (CPR LATAM) started in 2009 as a cross-disciplinary academic network of research centers which sought to advance knowledge on the social, economic and political impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the Americas.

The event was conducted in various cities across the continent. In 2024, the event will be hosted in Brasilia.
